Many people in America fear that the rate at which jobs are being outsourced will leave the domestic work force in dire need of employment. This is a much debated argument which I would like to avoid getting into on this post. I would, however, like to share some resources that will help you take advantage of the move towards outsourcing. Many companies and individuals are more than happy to pay college students to do work such as online research, design, web development, online marketing, copy editing, etc. The better paying jobs tend to be the more technical ones, but there are even sites that focus on outsourcing yard work (which normally isn’t thought of as outsourcing, but is the same concept). Here are a few websites where you can find people outsourcing various tasks:

  • DoMyStuff.com - very popular marketplace focusing on online and offline tasks
  • Cha-Cha - mobile search engine platform where you get paid to answer simple questions
  • StudentFL - new student focused outsourcing marketplace
  • ProgrammerMeetsDesigner - marketplace focused on web design and development
  • Undertool - marketplace focused on offline jobs (some requiring more technical skill)
